Q: Can we take scratches out of a lens?

A: No, we haven’t found a product yet that can remove or fill in
deep scratches appropriately. We have a stripping agent that can
remove certain coatings on top of a lens that will make the lens
look better and maybe remove some fine hairline scratches.


Q: Can you fix broken plastic?

A: There are cases in which we are able to replace the metal
hinges in a plastic frame. Broken plastic parts are unable to be
repaired. If the frame has broken in half and is unable to be
repaired we can replace the frame. We have a wide variety of
plastic and metal frames to choose from. We do not alter the
shape of lenses - it can lead to a distorted lens. We modify the frame around your lenses. That way you can salvage the cost of new lenses and just invest in a quality frame. Most of our frames come with a one year guarantee and are less expensive and more durable than what is found in most stores.


Q: Can you fix titanium?

A: Titanium can be very tricky. Titanium is very durable on a spaceship, but in our opinion once the metal has been made for small parts it isn’t really all that it’s cracked up to be. Main word "cracked", it becomes very brittle over time even more so when it is exposed to extreme heat. Sometimes we are able to repair titanium through our special methods. More recently, we are running into the problem that most frames aren’t 100% pure virgin titanium. If titanium is mixed with a flex or memory metal, it will not allow us to solder it. Because there is no label of exact ingredients marked on each frame, it can make our job tough at times. The only real way for us to know for sure if we can repair your titanium frame is to try.
